Appalachian Manufactured Stone Inc.

Located off of Hwy 221 in Ashe county near the Ashe/Watauga county line.  Our proximity to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Wilkes, and Ashe County allows us to be extremely competitive and  we urge you to contact us and consider our product for your next project.  The Appalachian Manufactured Stone product stands up to any competitor’s product and since we manufacture it locally, we control the color and have the ability to mix different types of colors and stones for a unique custom look.  Once you start noticing manufactured stone you’ll quickly realize how popular it is and how hard it is to tell the difference between our product and natural stone. Appalachian Manufactured Stone is using a patented system that has been in use since 1984 and has been proven and tested.  Come see our samples in our showroom and get a brochure on how Appalachian Manufactured Stone can make your home or business look great.

What is Manufactured Stone?
Manufactured stone is used in building commercial and residential homes and looks like a real rock surface but each stone is only between 2-3 inches thick. Manufactured stone consists of Portland cement, lightweight aggregate and iron oxide coloring pigments.

Where is manufactured stone used?
Fireplaces, foundations, signs, landscaping, exterior accents on commercial and residential buildings to name a few places. It can also be used to help give a more modern look when remodeling older buildings.

What type of surface can manufactured stone be applied over?
Almost any structurally sound surface such as: wood frame buildings, brick, concrete block, stucco and others.

What are some advantages of Manufactured Stone?
Manufactured Stone weighs less than natural stone (only weighs 8-9 lbs/sq.ft.) making it easier to install and handle. Appalachian Manufactured Stone does not require a footing which provides additional savings to the homeowner or contractor. The consistency of the manufacturing process often makes the manufactured stone wall look more uniform than a traditional natural stone wall.

Do we install?
No. You will need to arrange a contractor and we can recommend some.

How does Appalachian Manufactured Stone compare to its competitors?
Through much testing we have developed a formula that is more durable and suited to our mountain environment, specifically the local area. See our technical data page for more information. Our stone meets industry standards and we can do custom coloring for your project needs.

Does Appalachian Manufactured stone come with a Warranty?
Yes. We offer a 50 year limited warranty that covers defects in the stone.
